bodies of stories: Writing Practice

A generative space where we come together to connect to our craft and inspire one another. We generate new writing through optional prompts (or “portals”), and read our raw material out loud.

After each reading, we offer reflections instead of critique: What did you feel as you listened? What stood out? Or left you with a question?

Witnessing one another can be quite special and open up our writing.

Each session unfolds like this:

  • Grab a drink or a bite (this gives us access to the space)
  • Round of check-ins around a question of the day
  • One hour of writing, using the prompt or following your heart
  • Read aloud for 2 minutes (optional, encouraged)

Bring a notebook or laptop, whichever you write in.

When: Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, 7:00–9:00 pm
Where: Blue Room at the back of Sister Brussels Café
Cost: First session free, then €100 per semester (Sep–Jan / Feb–June), or €150 for the year. You can join anytime during the year.

Who: New and experienced writers welcome, all genres, all levels of English.

To join: Email Brune at bodiesofstories@gmail.com (limited spots)
