Brussels Writers’ Circle

08 September 2026
19h00 - 21h00
Dear Everyone,
The Brussels Writers’ Circle is undergoing something of a relaunch after the summer holidays. First off, for those who knew the Tuesday group chaired of late by Seth, please be aware that Seth has moved on to diplomatic pastures new and is no longer resident in Belgium. So the group of old that met at the Muntpunt is no more.
However, we are going to meet up after the summer break on Tuesday 8th September at 19:00 at the Sister Brussels Cafe which is a mere stone’s throw away from the Grand’ Place at 3 rue Chair et Pain. Check out their website at https://www.thesistercafe-brussels.com/ and phone number 0497 469 775. Please make your way to the upstairs meeting room (not where we met before).
I am very pleased to announce that we have lots of readers, your creative juices have clearly been flowing freely over the summer. Some of you I have had to assign to our following meeting on 22nd September, but further information about that date will follow.
So for next Tuesday we have (cue drum roll): Amina with 2,500 words of her sci-fi novel, followed by Eric with 2,800 words from the opening two scenes of his coming-of-age novel and ably concluded by Dimitris with 1,200 words of a memoir.
Could I ask all readers to bring LOTS of paper copies of their pieces as I am anticipating a very large turnout, between 10 and 20 people.
So looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 8th September,
David
