Description of the workshop

The pursuit of happiness as a topic dates back to Aristotle and Socrates and it is still of interest for humanity nowadays. Living in the most complex, uncertain and fast changing world ever, we have less and less time to think about what makes us actually happy.

What is happiness?

We can only answer this question individually because what makes one happy could be different of what makes another happy. However, it is certin that as human beings we have the need to live meaningful and happy lives, this being something we are all in a quest about.

What makes you happy?

Are you living the life you wanted to live?

Are you able to enjoy what you have and live fully?

Happiness plays an important role in the quality of our life and well-being.

Rather than propose a philosophical approach, I invite you to a 2 hours practical workshop to discover together what are the common answers about what makes us happy as humans and, moreover, to see how the science of Psychology is helping us to have a better practical approach in building the authentic happiness we are striving for.

We will discuss the answers offered by names like Martin Seligman, the father of positive psychology, and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, who introduced the concept of ‘Flow’.

We will discover that there are quite a number of things, internal circumstances, we can control, or create in our life in order to get closer to the happiness and the meaningful life we are looking for.

In the time we will spend together you will learn about 3 ways of building happiness in your life, inspired from the Positive Psychology perspective.

Also, through some practical Coaching exercises, you will have the chance to choose what changes you would like to introduce in your life in order to feel more happiness and fullfilment.
